About Dheena Chandra Dhas: Soloist with The Dubai Singers

Dheena Chandra Dhas has spent more than fifty years in the performing arts. He sang playback for A.R. Rahman, acted with Kamal Haasan in Mumbai Xpress, played lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Cats, fronted rock bands through the 1970s, and read the news for All India Radio.

Dubai is part of that history rather than a new market to him. He performed with The Dubai Singers as a soloist, taking “Glory of Love” by Peter Cetera, alongside choral work with the Madras Music Association, the Madras Philharmonic and Choral Society, the Bangalore Musical Association, and the Poona Choral Society.
